I’m recruiting a caseworker to work in my constituency office in Skelmersdale, West Lancashire.
This is a full-time role with three days based in the constituency office and two days remotely.
The successful applicant will be able to work independently and flexibly as part of our small team. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Applicants are welcome from all regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith, disability or background.
Key responsibilities include dealing with members of the public in a sensitive and supportive manner; analysing and reporting complex information and data; keeping meticulous records and using a CRM system; using social media in a professional context.
Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.

Interview/Start Dates
Interviews will be held in person by appointment in my constituency office in the first week of February and we would like the successful applicant to start with us as soon as possible subject to successful security clearance and the receipt of two references.
