I know that for too many people in West Lancashire, accessing public transport just simply isn’t possible. The barriers to accessing good bus or train services are simply too high and as a result, people are left feeling cut off from shops and services and potentially isolated.

In order to help solve the issues and remove the barriers that people face in accessing public transport, I wanted to better understand the experiences of people from right across our communities in West Lancashire. That’s why last summer I launched my West Lancashire Transport Survey.

Now, the next step is to bring our community together, sharing our ideas and experiences and discussing possible solutions to breaking down some of the barriers that some people face in accessing public transport.
