I had a busy day on 2nd February.
In the morning, I met with officials from Royal Mail to discuss the situation in West Lancashire. Based on what I learnt from this meeting, I am currently writing up a reply to all constituents who have complained to me about their post in recent months.
In the afternoon, I visited the team at the Walkers plant in Skelmersdale. Not only was it fascinating to learn how crisps go from spuds to the shop-shelf, it was very useful to learn from the team how they wanted to work with me as their local MP.
Straight from the Walkers factory, I travelled to Ormskirk Hospital to meet with HCRG staff at Bickerstaffe House. I was pleased to be given the opportunity to ask a number of questions regarding their service in the constituency. I look forward to staying in regular contact with HCRG.
A busy day – but a very enjoyable and productive one, too.
