West Lancashire’s Labour MP Ashley Dalton has secured millions of pounds of government funding to be invested in Skelmersdale as part of Labour’s Pride in Place campaign. That’s £2 million a year, every year, for 10 years.

This will secure long-term investment to improve facilities, support local jobs, and make the community safer and stronger.

Ashley Dalton MP said: “The last Conservative Government spent a decade and a half overlooking our communities here in West Lancashire. I am determined to make sure Skelmersdale gets its fair share of investment.

“A Labour MP, working in step with a Labour Government  is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to bring lasting improvements – but it must be shaped by the people who live here.”

“I have consistently made the case for investment in Skelmersdale with my ministerial colleagues and I know that the Government shares my vision for investment in Skem.”

Ashley is asking residents of Skelmersdale to share their views on what matters most to them. Residents can take part in the survey below.

Ashley added: “Whether it’s better youth facilities, safer streets, or support for local businesses, I want to know your priorities. By speaking up together, we can make sure this funding delivers for every part of our community.”
