I’m pleased to announce new funding through the Labour Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner’s MP Fund.
£50,000 is available for organisations to fund projects with local crime and safety outcomes.
Funding is taken through the proceeds of crime and delivered into the community to prevent further crime and harm.
This programme will support the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan for Lancashire 2024–2029, which focuses on four key priorities, all of which align closely with this Labour Government’s Safer Streets mission.
Grant funding is available to support preventative, early‑intervention and community‑based initiatives that help:
- Prevent violence against women and girls
- Tackle crime and antisocial behaviour
- Address serious and violent crime
- Rebuild trust and confidence in policing
Local organisations can apply through the below link. The deadline is 11.59pm on Tuesday 14 July 2026.
PLEASE READ – important information about applying:
- The password for the portal is ‘FundingMPCommissioner_2026’
- Once the deadline has passed, I will review the applications and decide which ones to endorse, up to a combined total of £50,000.
- There is a question on the application form about an endorsement. Please state ‘endorsement from Ashley Dalton to be sought after application’. This does not guarantee my endorsement.
I will select the projects that I wish to endorse, up to a combined total of £50,000.
I opened my MP fund through the Police and Crime Commissioner’s office last year and have been delighted with the impact locally.
This funding has supported the prevention of crime across West Lancashire and improving safety. Projects have focused on knife crime, the wellbeing of girls aged 10-14, young people affected by trauma, family breakdown and cycles of crime/addiction in Skelmersdale and youth work in Burscough and Ormskirk.
If you’re an organisation with a project that could help keep West Lancashire safe, I encourage you to apply.
